Hi! I'm Veronika Kyrylovska , a Front-End (React) developer from Ukraine. The first time I got interested in programming was the time when I was a teen and was studying in Cybernetical Technical college. There I got some basic knowledge about programming languages Basic, Pascal, Delphi and, you know, that was the times of MS Dos))) . I should confess I still love "for-then" loop and sometimes only it helps me to break through the stucking task.
Later I graduated from the Flight Academy and completed a postgraduate studying. Despite my higher education was in aviation sector, we learned basics of information technologies, databases design particularly, and its implementation in aviation systems and aviation education. We worked with Database Management System MS Access. Afterwards I had the experience of working as a senior lecturer at Aeronautical Systems and Information Technologies Department at Flight Academy. As well my leadership and responsibility skills allowed me to be applied and to work for several years as a deputy dean for educational work at the Air Traffic Service faculty.
If you look through my experience timeline you may see a big gap in my career. It relates to maternity leave and some family troubles. But these days I'm still in IT field! About 2 years ago I began studying Web Development, Front-End. I'm a truly self motivated person who wants to get new knowledge and who does all her best for it. Courses I completed were free of charge for me (for refugee/internally displaced person). But it wasn't a point for me to study anyhow or carelessly. All tasks had been done on time or even earlier. Sometimes I found bugs in the tasks or in auto evaluating (AutoCode) the task and I fixed them in collaboration with our manager and my mentor. Front-end development is interesting and exciting for me, because I feel like being an artist who draws a website using HTML/CSS, or a witch who through manipulations with "magic" JS tools adds functionality to a website)))
I completed the SheCodes courses of Front-End Development: Basics, Responsive Design and React. I also completed the mentoring program "Front-end Development" from the company EPAM UpSkill. Now I’m developing my own pet projects to improve my hard skills, and also I'm working as a Front-end developer on the Team Challenge platform with a real crew of dedicated juniors who develop an online shop non-commercial project to get an experience of team interaction.
